After completing Master of Fine Art degrees in 2010 Trudy Moore, Melanie Jayne Taylor and Stephanie Wilson developed Eye Collective; an extension of shared thought and activity that lies adjacent to their individual practices. The collective’s works reference built structures and objects through painted representations of interior spaces, photographic recordings of architecture and three dimensional paper rubbings of objects and architecture. Through this work the artists hope to demonstrate a questioning of the built environment and how it might translate as a metaphor for an internal landscape.
